Visual Ecologies of Placemaking Book Cover
I designed the cover for this series of essays put together by Leslie Atzmon and Pamela Stewart, two professors at Eastern Michigan University. My design was chosen from among 15 classmates to be the cover. I wanted to represent placemaking through the idea of the five senses by incorporating various textures for touch, wispy smoke for smell, shooting lines for sound and bright colors for sight.
Pride and Prejudice Book Cover Re-Design
I re-designed the cover of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice using custom typography and illustrations. I wanted to create a dark, rich and romantic tone with deep colors, rich golds and delicate imagery to match the book.
The Giving Tree Book Cover Re-Design
I modernized the cover of the children’s book, The Giving Tree, updating the color scheme and using custom typography to give it a more streamlined and modern design with the cascading letters matching the height of the tree throughout the book.
