This drawing was focused on my time doing medical research on animals. I was always frustrated with how many people often cut corners and ignored protocols that help keep research animals more comfortable when carrying out their research just to save a little time. I always admired that other countries have days of remembrance and honor for all of the animal lives given to research and am sad that in the U.S. we don’t provide this same respect for their lives and what they have provided us in medical advancements. Well I’m still not always 100% sure about how I feel about animal research and where the limits lie, I wanted to do my own tribute and remembrance to all the animals that have had their lives taken for research through this drawing. The drawing includes many, but not all, of the various animals used in research.
